Teams
Without volunteers, we would not be able to impact the island of St. Croix as God has called us to. We need people like you to come alongside of us to work with us in this “harvest” time. Please consider sending groups to work with us for short-term missions projects. We have a broad range of opportunities, with summer being a high-time for summer camps and other programs, as well as having a plethora of opportunities throughout the school year.
We can organize construction projects, mercy ministries, prayer walks, children & youth outreaches, local church ministry, evangelism and many more opportunities for your team. We would be happy to work with you to tailor a plan for your team. Teams like yours are the life-blood of our organization & we want to serve you in the best way possible.
Housing/Property
We offer housing for up to 30 people (fluctuates depending on time of year & availability), with three meals per day, on our campus. We have 5 cabins (with bunk-beds) & a bathhouse for teams to stay with us, as well as other limited spaces. We also have a swimming pool, full-size basketball court, grass volleyball court, and a large field for playing. Our great-house offers a large meeting room with wireless internet.
We are situated on 5-acres of an old sugar plantation (the Diamond Ruby plantation) right in the middle of our beautiful island. Our grounds are scattered with ruins from buildings over 300 years old. We have a sugar-mill, well-tower, 80’ smoke stack, as well as the old mule pen, and ruins from the sugar processing plant. We are within walking distance of a movie theatre, restaurants, K-Mart, and other shopping, and just a short drive from the port towns of Christiansted & Frederiksted & many beautiful beaches.
Work teams
Our property is quite large and very old! We are in the process of tring to update several areas as well as construct several others. Beyond that we are in the Caribbean where every season is growing season; so we always have outdoor projects as well!
We are in the process of putting a second floor on our newest building that will be used as classroom space and performing arts. We need people skilled in concrete, framing, drywalling, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and general construction skills. Winter is a great time to bring a work team as it is a beautilful 75' here!
We also have ministry partners and families on island that we help with construction/clean-up projects periodically.
Ministry Teams
We have quite a few wide ranging ministry opportunities. In the summer we have several weeks of camps and VBS like programs that are perfect for college/young adult groups and family teams. Sports teams are also a good fit as basketball is huge here and we can often get into school to do clinics as well as activities at YWAM. The caribbean loves music and dance so Performing Arts is another avenue of ministry. For teams that want to do a little of everyhting we can put together a week of homeless ministry, childrens ministry, prayer walks, sports, and work projects. Or if there is something else that God is laying on your heart contact us and we will see what we can collaberatively put together!
