Jericho Kids is similar to a VBS program. It is a one week camp, Monday - Friday mornings. Each day we have up to 40 children that are ages 6-12. We start the day off with registration and supervised play time. Then, we bring all of the kids together for songs, a memory verse, a bible story, etc. For the remainder of the day the children are broken up into three teams by age. They then rotate through swimming/water games, snacks & crafts, and game time. For the last bit we bring them all together again and hand out crafts, go over the memory verse, and sing some more songs before dismissing them.
August 1-5, 2022
Ages 6-12
Unfortunately, we are no longer accepting applications as the camp is full this year.

We run from one to three of these camps each summer. They are run by teams that come down to STX on Mission trips!
Most of the kids that attend these camps are from the government housing projects where we have built relationships with the kids. For many of the kids this is the highlight of their summer! They will talk about it every time we see them. Even years later we will see the crafts that they made still hanging in their homes. This is a ministry that YWAM STX has run since 1989 and we often run into adults, that upon hearing where we are from, will start sharing about how they used to come to Jericho Kids as small children! It is a great ministry that is a "gateway" into these kids lives. It opens up opportunities for us to go deeper with them, or introduces them for the first time to Christ.
If you or your church are interested in coming down to run a week of camp, please check out our team volunteer page here!
